Sometimes I wear a belt and sometimes I wear a sash.Depends on the occasion. And sometimes I just wear a thong and breech cloth with a smile. Somr folks just don't like my belly hangin out, but then they don't have to look.

I use a 2 inch leather belt (with brass tacks - southwest style) for everyday primitive use. The only exception is when I wear my 1820's three piece fancy suit, then I use a mulitcolored sash. Adds color and style when doing lectures, appearances.

Same what Mike Morre seez....in fact, I find that belt quite handy for many things other than just keeping a capote closed, or the britches hitched up.

I normally wear a two inch wide leather belt (with brass tacks- southwest style) with most of my outfits. The only exception is when I wear my tailored three piece 1820's suit. Then I wear a multicolored sash, it adds not only color to a all black linen suit, but fancys it up when doing lectures, presentations or need a nice suit with tails.
