I stop by every day, but it appears that no one is home!

I also visit this site on a daily bases. It use to be so very active but now days it seems like a ghost town. I cannot even begin to understand why our brothers in reenacting have abandon Historical Trekking. I visit Frontier Folks once in a while and although a very good site, they also seem to be not very active. I would hate to think Trekkers have lost interest and folks have moved on to a new hobby. I for one, live for the day to get back into the woods and be with my like minded friends.
I would like to thank Jason for keeping this site alive for us that enjoy Trekking and the friendship found here.

I check five sites every day. The volume across the board is down; fewer items for sale, fewer items of interest to share. Fewer questions.
I hope this is seasonal. Here is the Northeast it is cold and snowy.
I did a solo trek on snowshoes over the weekend to fill the winter void. But the rest of the country should have more activity.

Come down to Texas. On day it is cold and rainy, then hot and humid. You don't have to be crazy to live here but it helps. We have not had any winter to speak of. If I remember correctly it did get into the low thirties for two whole days. Brrrr!
Our reenacting season is kicking off but sadly after years of doing the Battle of the Alamo in the plaza in front of the shrine, the city of San Antonio and the Texas General Land Office(GLO) has decided the reenactment was bad for the walls of the ol' gal. Their idea of a way to remember those brave men who gave their lives for Texas is to have a fiddle playing concert. Oh yeah, that is much more fitting. Politics, it is every where you go now days.
I'll get off my soap box and wish all a grand season of doing what we love.

I check several sites every day, if I'm around and not in the woods. I try to be in the woods much more these days. I think that folks have been snared into the web of "Facebook" Personally, I want nothing to do with it.
