'bots do this. Evidently, they are hard to stop.

About the best method, is just not look at it. I 'think' they probably record the number of hits,,,,,so maybe thats why its so popular here ! hehe

Mike is right, bots do it, not people. By bots, I/we mean computer programs.

They do look at number of hits and well, HistoricalTrekking.com gets well over 20,000 hits a day.

Just for the Message Board this site has had over 12,000 hits in 1 week.

That's not counting the round robin or other topics, just the MB. SO this is a pretty popular site. (Too bad it doesn't make any money :-P, so subscribe to On The Trail magazine!
