Here is a picture of the NEW T/C flintlock cock on left vs the OLD one on the right. When T/C had muzzleloader parts still in stock, they would replace this out for free under their lifetime warranty.



I would still call them ... you never know. This new cock design resolved the issues with the older cock style. If your's is indeed the newer one, as suggested try using real flints and try them 'bevel down' to get the flint to strike up higher on the frizzen face.
