Question for all those that wear a breech clout, what do you use to hold it up? Everything I've tried so far is either incredibly uncomfortable or the clout ends up hanging like a loaded diaper (it's not}

I use a leather belt about 1" wide. I have worn it 24/7 many times and never had a problem. Others use a silk sash rolled into sort of a rope. I imagine a strip of wool would work but I think the belt is easier.

I use a strip of wool cut from the same piece of cloth. Not a problem.

Thanks all for your replies. Tried a silk scarf last weekend at Martin's and that seemed to work just fine.

A belt or sash, I wish I would have thought of that, I've been using spruce sap. Kinda like waxing when removing the clout.
