My horn and pouch are separate.

I have a leather loop attached to my powder horn strap where the measure secures into. It is also tied on a wang of leather so I dont lose it. I use the same horn for multiple guns-- I have a different pouch for each gun and use the same horn for all. My measure is adjustable.

I have ZERO historical documentation for doing this-- just fell into the practice because it worked best for me as I roam and hunt in the woods.

Mgardner,
Are you carrying your powder measure in a certain way as a result of the answers you have received from the forum?
