I know this isn't exactly 18th cent. but I figured more people read this forum than the off topic forum.

In less than two weeks I will be on my summer vaction in Lexington VA, but I am taking a day with my father to go over into WV near Charelston. He is a flint knapper and is looking for some Kanawha black flint. We are also looking for arrowheads while we are out to. But his main goal is to find the Kanawha black flint. So far the only thing we have been able to find out that is near Charleston, that anywhere along the Great Kanawha is a good place to look, and mine roads ( whatever those are) off of Kellys creek road and kellys creek are spots to look.

I just wanted to see if any of you guys who know the area, or know where it is located could help point us in the right direction. Where should we look, and what does it look like? Thanks in Advance!

Eric

Are creeks considered federal or state? If so then how do all these people who post videos on youtube not getting busted?
